Cheers to you Chef Peter. Myrna, cheers to you as well. You and your family are very special people. I remember staying in the resteraunt when we were in high school, helping Teva with the empty wine bottles, bringing the boxes up from the cellar, noodles on the stove at 1:00am. Haven't seen Eric since back then, then I saw him at Nami. Geez, he's grown! Our prayers are with all of you.
Cheers, once again.

AT ONE TIME IN MY LIFE I WAS A HAPPY WONDERER THAT ENDED UP LIVING IM MOOREA, THAITI WHERE I HAD THE GREAT PLEASURE OF MEETING MY WIFE AND GETTING TO KNOW PETE AND MYRNA WHERE WE SHARED MANY A GOOD TIME AND LAUGHS. WE CANNOT EXPRESS OUR TERRIBLE SHOCK TO LEARN OF PETE'S DEATH. KNOWING PETE AND MYRNA, IT WAS NO SHOCK TO US TO SEE THEM PUT TOGETHER THEIR SUCCESS STORY AT 1109! I DON'T THINK I HAVE EVER MEET SOMEONE THAT I BECAME INSTANT FRIENDS WITH SUCH AS THE FIRST TIME I MEET PETE/MYRNA IN MOOREA IN 1980 OR 1981. I SAW PETE NOT ONLY AS A GREAT FRIEND BUT ALSO AS SORT OF AN ADVENTURER. A GOOD EXAMPLE WOULD BE THE DAY PETE AND I TOOK A POWER CANOE TO THE OTHER SIDE OF MOOREA JUST TO RAISE A LITTLE HELL AND SHARE SOME BEERS AND ON THE WAY BACK TO OUR SIDE OF THE ISLAND A SUDDEN STORM DEVELOPED AND HERE WE WERE IN THE MIDDLE OF THE MOOREA LAGOON, WITH ME ON THE FRONT OF THE CANOE WITH PETE DOING THE STEARING OF THE CANOE.AND HERE I WAS CUSSING, SOAKING WET, SINCE IT HAD TURNED COOL, HIGH WINDS, AND VERY ROUGH. WE MUST HAVE HIT EVERY WAVE IN THE LAGOON. AT LEAST I THOUGHT SO. AS I TURNED AROUND TO LOOK AT PETE FOR SOME KIND OF ASSURANCE, HE TOO WAS SOAKING WET, WITH THE COLD MIST BLOWING IN HIS FACE AND ONE OF THE BIGGEST SMILES YOU COULD IMAGINE SINCE HE SEEMED TO ENJOY IT ALL! I TOLD HIM AT THAT TIME THAT HE HAD TO BE SORT OF SICK TO ENJOY THAT KIND OF A CANOE RIDE. BUT I'M TELLING YOU, HE ATE IT UP.
MYRNA YOU ALREADY KNOW THAT JOELLE AND I LOVE BOTH OF YOU BOTH VERY MUCH. OUR HEARTS ARE BROKEN. PLEASE KNOW THAT EACH TIME I THINK/HEAR THE SONG "FOR THE GOOD TIMES"........YOU BOTH WILL BE IN OUR THOUGHTS!
FOR THE GOOD TIMES!

My wife and I stayed at the Bed & Breakfast and Peter cooked for us just prior to his retirement from the kitchen there - what a joy! we still talk about the food and his wonderful company. I loved walking through the kitchen for Dinner and seeing him working his craft...a true master and a fine Gentleman. We shall miss him and never forget the time spent with him there. Our prayers are with his family and loved ones.

I can't believe Peter is really gone. It hurts so much to write this and I can't imagine how Myrna and the boys must feel. I'm so sorry for their loss, and for the loss of the community. Peter lived life to the fullest; a fuller, richer life than anyone can hope for. I think we all thought he'd outlast every one of us. My only regret for Peter is that he didn't get to enjoy retirement as long as he deserved. But the real sorrow is for the rest of us who are left behind, without the immense pleasure of his company. I could never forget Peter and everything that he meant to me. He was my anchor and my mentor during a time that would have otherwise been bleak. I carry his memory in my heart always. Myrna, Eric, Teva, Pete...my prayers are with you every night. To all his friends and former employees who have had the joy of knowing him, my prayers include them too because our lives will never be the same without him. Love always.

With painful regrets I write this note...Peter was always there for me, a true friend! It was a blast working for him along with Chrislyn. (Dreama too) He taught me so much about life and I wish I could talk to him again and let him now how much he meant to me. I will always keep Peter, Myrna and the boys in my thoughts. Kim too. Love you always.
